چکیده

Toxic heavy metal ions are extremely harmful to living things and the environment due their toxicity, carcinogenicity, ability collect in nature, capacity contaminate surface ground water. The focus of this research was develop an appropriate low cost adsorbent for removal from aqueous solutions. activated carbon prepared avocado kernels characterized by using XRD, FTIR, pHPZC. From XRD spectra crystal size AC-1 AC-2 were calculated. sample with smallest crystallite (40.05 nm) found be chosen further characterization sorption experiments. Batch studies on synthetic samples performed at room temperature. pH effect, initial concentration, dosage, contact time investigated also ion adsorption isotherms At 7, highest effectiveness metals (copper, cadmium, lead) made kernel achieved. best dose cadmium lead 500 mg, 700 mg copper, optimum times lead, copper 120, 60 minutes, respectively. In these conditions efficiencies 87%, 89.4%, 99.5% Lead, Cadmium 87 %, 89.4 99.5 respectively, under optimal conditions. Langmuir isotherm model has strongest correlation obtained results. According findings, high removing

Removal of chromium (VI) from aqueous solution by adsorption using cousinia eryngioides boiss and activated carbon

Adsorption capacity of Cr (VI) onto cousinia eryngioides boiss, activated carbon was investigated in a batch system by considering the effects of various parameters like contact time, initial concentration, pH, temperature, agitation speed, absorbent dose and particle size. Cr (VI) removal is pH dependent and found to be maximum at pH 2.0. The amounts of Cr (VI) adsorbed increased with increase...
